What do you mean by the word Impossible?
Does it mean something that you think cannot be done?
Is that word relative as in something that I cannot do but you can or vice versa?
Impossible is a word we all have said or felt when we fail at something even after repeated trials or when we feel like giving up. We all can relate to this word. We have been in a situation when even after repeated attempts at trying something or working on something, we are still not able to do it and we make the most common and simple excuse anyone can think of that is ‘IMPOSSIBLE’, I can’t do it or I am not cut out for this.
But you know what? There is a simple trick to overcoming this. A simple change in perspective. I am sure you must have heard of this:
The word Impossible itself says “I am Possible”.
There is always a way. If you are looking at a problem, there is always a solution.
You must be wondering now what that solution is. Well, there are plenty but let me shed light on one of the ways which I like to follow. One simple technique to do this is to train your mind. A human mind works in a strange way. You can train it to see things with a different perspective.
We all know that the human brain behaves like a muscle and just like we work out in a gym to gain muscles and build it up, the more you work out your brain the more it grows and the clearer things get.
Me, being in a profession whose sole purpose is to create an illusion of the impossible, things became even clearer. When I thought of starting out as a professional Magician, I was working as a Mechanical Engineer. People around me used to say that it is impossible. Magic is just a hobby. How will you feed yourself by doing Magic? But then I thought, if this is impossible how are the best in this field like David Copperfield, David Blaine, P.C. Sorcar etc who are successfully performing this art, feeding themselves?
If there is a problem, there must be a solution. So basically, the idea is that the things that I perform on stage, they look impossible. As a matter of fact they are impossible. But people see me do it. There is always a way and if not then create a way. That is exactly what I do.
I realized if you cannot make the Impossible possible; why not make it seem possible? You get a problem, you find a solution.
An airplane flying in the air weighs in tones. So tons and tons of weight lifting off like a bird as if its nothing is somewhat close to impossible. But someone trained their mind to think beyond impossible and found a solution to make it a reality.
There are innumerable instances and examples where people achieve the impossible by training their minds and shifting their perspectives.
So keep training those muscles and achieve the impossible. There is very less that you cannot do. You just need to Believe!!!
